Megan Huitema is an emerging producer having completed her Bachelor of Creative Arts (Screen Production) at Flinders University in 2009. Here she received the 'Best Producer' Award for the short films Pleased to Meat You: Live with Sandra Faye in 2009 and The Human Prism in 2008.
She received the 'Emerging Producer' Award in the 2010 South Australian Screen Awards for her work on three short films, with Monkey Bar Mafia being the highest nominated film. Whilst continuing to produce short films, Megan has worked in the production office of feature films such as Oranges and Sunshine and Red Dog.
Her most recent short films Toot Toot and The Thing About Dolphins have each been nominated for 4 South Australian Screen Awards, with Toot Toot gaining interest from several North American distributors. Megan most recently worked as Production Manager on the SBS TV Series Danger 5.
Megan aspires to become a producer of feature films with an emphasis on positive uplifiting themes.
